Step 2 - Setting the conversion options
Previous Top Next |
| Once you have selected the files to convert a Options box will pop up.
| Working from the top of the box, these are the options: -
| 1) Output Type - click the drop down arrow and select "jpg"
| 2) Output Quality - drag the slider to the desired quality, the default is 80%, which will give a good result.
| 3) Output folder - click on the "change" button and navigate to the folder you want the newly created files to be saved in. ToneUp will never overwrite an existing file so you do not have to worry about losing images. If the file already exists ToneUp will append a number on the end of the filename.
| 4) Apply checkboxes - ToneUp can apply any of the usual image processing tools during batch conversion. Either tick or untick the processes you wish ToneUp to apply during the process. The default is to apply all processes.
| 5) Resize options - the next panel contains options to allow you to control the size of the output image. By default it will create an image exactly the same size as the original. But, by unticking "use original image size" you can type in the exact image size, while maintaining the image's aspect ratio. By unticking "lock aspect ratio" you can type in the exact image size required, regardless of aspect ratio.
| 6) File size - the output filesize is estimated and displayed here. This can be used if you need to know the approximate size (should you want to email the image)
| 7) Start - click the start button to begin the conversion. A progress bar will be displayed.
